In a World Full of Noise – A Journey to Inner Peace

The Illusion of Happiness

The world unfolds like a beautiful fair—crowded, restless, and vibrant. We are all busy chasing a version of happiness defined by the tangible: houses, comfort, cars, and status. We rush forward with a sense of urgency, believing that somewhere ahead, peace is a prize waiting to be owned.

But peace is never something we can buy. Though it asks for no money, we often feel helpless in our search for it. The mind grows tired—not from emptiness, but from the weight of expectation. We collect material things, believing they will calm our souls, yet the silence never arrives. Rarely do we pause to ask ourselves what our heart truly wants, or what our soul has been quietly longing for.

 Disconnected While Connected

One afternoon, over a quiet cup of coffee, I sat alone—not to escape the world, but to finally meet myself. I tried to pray, not through spoken words, but through the language of stillness, hoping to touch that silent space within. Thoughts surfaced gently, and for a moment, I allowed them to stay without judgment.

Then, my phone rang, pulling me back to the noise. It is a strange irony: technology connects us to the world, yet often disconnects us from our own hearts. There is so much external noise that we forget how to listen to our own minds. Moments of stillness have become rare, and in losing them, we lose the chance to hear what our soul is trying to tell us.

“Every story begins somewhere — mine began with a cup of tea while writing a blog.”

 When Life Pauses Like Fog

There are moments when life feels like a sudden fog. The path ahead blurs, familiar shapes disappear, and everything seems to freeze. In these moments, life feels paused, and we become unsure of where to move next.

Yet, when mist settles on a rose, it does not take away its beauty—it deepens it. The petals hold the fog gently, quietly glowing from within the haze. Perhaps life is the same. When clarity fades, it does not always mean a loss of direction. Sometimes, it is an invitation to see beauty in a softer, slower way.

As Rainer Maria Rilke once wrote:

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart, and try to love the questions themselves.”

Maybe this pause, this fog, is not here to stop us—but to teach us patience with the person we are becoming.

Alone, Yet Not Alone

This journey often feels lonely. It feels as though no one else can see the weight we carry inside. Yet, there are so many hearts walking the same emotional path—asking the same questions and carrying the same unspoken burdens.

We may never meet, and we may never share our stories aloud, but our emotions recognize each other in the silence. In those quiet, invisible connections, we find comfort, knowing that in our struggle for peace, we are never truly alone.

Before the Story Ends

Life is a story—not perfect, not predictable, but deeply personal.

Before the final page turns, before the silence settles forever, we must learn to write our chapters consciously. We must pause when the world demands speed. We must listen when noise surrounds us. We must choose presence over possessions.

In the end, what remains is not what we owned, but what we felt, what we understood, and how gently we learned to live.

The Mysterious Diary

"The Untold Story of an Abandoned Mother and Her Diary of Memories”

It was a late evening after a long drive. I returned home tired, refreshed myself, played some soothing music 🎧, and made a cup of tea ☕️. Sitting in my garden, surrounded by the calmness of nature and the gentle voices of birds, a thought suddenly struck me — it had been a while since I last visited the old age home in Hoshiarpur. Though my friends and I often go there, this time I had missed a few visits due to work.

“Back view of a man enjoying tea in a garden, thinking about visiting an old age home.”
“Every story begins somewhere — mine began with a cup of tea in my garden.”

I picked up my phone 📞, called some friends, and together we planned our next visit. I don’t remember the exact date, but I know it was a Sunday — a holiday, a day of warmth and togetherness.

The Visit

Sunday arrived. Our team gathered at the meeting point and rode together towards the old age home. My heart was filled with excitement and quiet happiness, as we had also planned to organize some programs for the elders — to bring them smiles and moments of joy.

The road was clear, no traffic, and within half an hour we reached. The sun ☀️ was shining bright in the afternoon sky, and I felt it must be around 1 pm.

As we entered, we greeted everyone, bowed down for blessings, and were welcomed with smiles that could melt any heart. The elders were so happy to see us after a long gap. Their wrinkled faces carried countless stories, but what struck me most was the peace reflected in their eyes.

We sat, talked, laughed, listened to their needs, and shared stories over a cup of tea 🫖 and sweets. The atmosphere was filled with warmth, like a family reunion.

Meeting the Old Lady

One thought was constantly in my mind — an aged woman, nearly 90 or perhaps even older, whom I had met before. I had specially brought a packet of diapers for her, as the staff had mentioned it was her requirement.

The staff guided me to her room. She was lying on her bed, frail yet graceful, her presence commanding quiet respect. I sat near her head and we began talking. Her voice was weak, but her memories were strong. She spoke of her younger days, of her home, of moments when her house was alive with love and laughter.

Then, with a trembling hand, she gestured towards an old trunk. I understood instantly. I walked towards it, opened it carefully, and found a diary 📔.

The Diary of Memories

That diary was not an ordinary one. It was her life — pages filled with the story of her family, her children, her love. As she held it close, her eyes sparkled ⚡️ like a young mother again. She showed me entries — her children’s first steps, their first words, their first day at school, their weddings. Each moment, carefully noted down, preserved with love beyond measure.

Tucked between the pages was an old photograph. She pointed at it with pride and said, “This is my son and daughter.” The happiness in her eyes was indescribable — the eternal love of a mother, still alive in every heartbeat.

“Every wrinkle hides a story, every silence hides a pain – Adhure Jazbaat quote.”
“Wrinkled hands of an old mother with a diary of memories and silent pain.”

The Letter

But as I turned a few more pages, something else slipped out — a letter. I picked it up, not realizing how this single paper would change the air around us.

Her diary wasn’t just paper — it was a lifetime of love, memories, and pain."

It was from her son and daughter

The words were polite, but cold. It was a letter addressed to the administration of the old age home, stating that they were leaving their mother there because they “did not have enough time to take care of her” — her memory lapses, her stress, her old age had become too much to handle.

At that moment, I froze. My hands trembled. My eyes went from the letter to her face. She sat silently, her smile fading into a sorrow too deep to be hidden. Behind the sparkle of her eyes was a wound no medicine could heal.

How cruel it felt — a mother who had poured her entire life into raising her children, now left alone in a room with nothing but a diary of memories. A woman who once celebrated every ‘first step’ of her children now waited endlessly for just one visit, one embrace, one word of care.

I was shocked, speechless, helpless. A storm of emotions surged within me — anger, grief, and an unbearable sorrow.

Around me, I looked at other elders too, and realized: each one carried a story, each one carried a pain, hidden behind their quiet smiles.

Reflections

Time passed quickly, and soon the sun began to set. Our team had to leave, but in my heart I knew — we were not just visitors anymore. We had become their family, their friends, their children.

That night, I could not forget the diary. It was more than pages — it was a reminder. A reminder that parents are not a burden. They are blessings, living treasures, who once gave us everything.

I promised myself — and through this story, I promise the world — that we will visit again, not just once, but again and again. Because love and care are not obligations. They are the purest form of humanity.

✨ Everyone has a story. Some stories are filled with joy, some with sorrow, and some are hidden in the silence of an old diary. All they need is someone to read, someone to listen, and someone to care.

A Painful News

Days later, I received heartbreaking news — the old lady had passed away. What pained me most was not her death, but what followed. The administration of the old age home informed her family. But their reply was cold: “You do it.” No one came for her final rites.

Her diary now remains the only witness of her love, her sacrifices, her silent tears, and her endless devotion as a mother.

This shook me deeply. It reminded me that hers is not the only story. There are countless such stories — some known, some unknown, each carrying the same pain with a different name.

A Mother’s Eternal Love

“Inspirational quote: Every wrinkle hides a story, every silence hides a pain.”

A poet once wrote:

A mother’s love is the fuel that enables a normal human being to do the impossible.” – Marion C. Garretty

And John Keats, the poet of emotions, once said:

A thing of beauty is a joy forever.”

If there is anything in this world that remains beautiful and eternal, it is the love of a mother. Even when the world forgets her, her love never fades.

I write this under Adhure Jazbaat, because some emotions always remain incomplete. Her story ended, but her love — like her diary — will live forever.

— Some stories remain unfinished. But in their silence, they ask us questions. Have we listened enough? Have we cared enough? Or are we too late to turn back the pages?

I Am Collecting Smiles

I Am Collecting Smiles

“A heartwarming poem about collecting smiles like flowers in a garden, spreading joy, kindness, and positivity to brighten everyday life.”

I Am Collecting Smiles

I am collecting smiles

when I awake from sleep.

I don’t just wake up —

I know the day will be long,

time will be hard,

but I choose a smile

so the day goes easier.

Yes, I am collecting smiles 😊.

Each second passes,

a minute comes,

then the hour…

time doesn’t stop 🛑,

not even for a while.

Sometimes I need a break,

I need to be with time,

to stand still for a moment,

to wear a smile —

yes, I’m collecting smiles.

People come and go;

they are not forever free

to stand with you.

You need to wake up

from your dreams 🛌.

Yes, I am collecting

a smile to wear.

Time is kind in its own way;

it promises to return tomorrow,

bringing not the same moments,

but new light,

new chances,

new hope.

Yes… I am collecting smiles.

Some are for joy,

some are for courage,

and some —

are to hide the quiet pain

I carry in my heart ❤️.

And maybe,

one day,

these smiles I’ve saved

will be enough

to heal the places

where my heart once hurt.
